We will deal with Sarkodie - Krobo Youth
Citizens of Krobo have responded to Sarkodie after the rapper in a latest song he was featured on titled ‘Jenifer Lomotey’ described them as ‘adwaman’ which means promiscuous.
According to them, they expected Sarkodie with his stature in world music to know better and not make commercial gains out of a myth which cannot be proven on any grounds.
”We expect an artiste of such international stature like Sarkodie to know better and not to play games with such sensitive issues.”
”Every tribe may have a myth, but his attempt to commercialize the so-called myth at our expense to make financial gains and profit for himself is where we have the problem. This is deliberate. This is calculated. This is unacceptable in this 21st century,” they said.
The citizens assured Sarkodie of dealing with him drastically hinting that they have outlined several measures in their quest to deal with the rapper for demeaning their descent.
“We want Sarkodie and his team to know that they will regret for making mockery of us. We have lined up a number of actions to deal ruthlessly with them. We are adopting a number of measures to seek redress.”
Meanwhile there is a campaign on Social media to get the rapper to openly apologise to the Krobo people for describing them as ‘adwaman’ because Okomfo Anokye cursed them with promiscuity.
