Inauguration Of President Elect - Nana Akufo Addo
Nana Akufo Addo of the NPP who won the december 7th general elections has been inaugurated as the new president of the Republic Ghana
Nana Akufo Addo has been sworn in as the fifth president of the Republic of Ghana by the Chief Justice Mrs Georgina Theodora Wood as the president of Ghana for the next four years.
The ceremony took place at the independence square in Accra as the Parliament was seated headed by the newly elected speaker of Parliament Prof Aaron Mike Ocquaye.
The president of Ghana delivered his inaugural address.
In his inaugural address as head of state, indicated that after close to 60years of independence, Ghana no longer has an excuse for its lack of development.
President Akufo Addo also assured the people of Ghana "I am determined to do all in my power to accomplish the task of the mandate and justify their confidence. I will not let you, the people of Ghana, down"
