I am open to doing a song with Kaakie – MzVee
Bubbly Dancehall artiste MzVee, born Vera Hamenoo-Kpeda, says she is
more than ready to record a song with her arch rival, Kaakie.
MzVee said she has put behind her whatever beef the public believe exists between them because she personally has no issue with Kaakie, born Grace Kaki Awo Ocansey.
Recently, the two artistes grabbed media attention over an alleged turf war as to who is the Queen of Ghanaian Dancehall.
Kaakie in her recent tune, ‘Time Up’ threw shades at rapper EL, fellow Dancehall acts MzVee and AK Songstress.
She rendered an apology for the attacks. “I’m sorry for whoever, who took offence to my songs especially EL. He’s the reigning Artiste of the Year and so I respect him a lot, and to MzVee and AK Songstress,” she said in an interview.
MzVee, speaking in an interview with Doreen Andoh on the Cosmopolitan Mix on Joy FM, said she is ready to record a song with Kaakie any day.
“Right now, I’m chilled, I’ve never had a problem with her and recently it is in the news she is saying she regrets starting the beef. I don’t know but I’ve been saying this everywhere that I am all for positivity,” the BET Awards nominee explained.
She added that, “if she said initially she didn’t want to collaborate with me I’m still open to doing a song with her.”
