Black Stars defeated to Egypt in World Cup qualifier
The Black Stars have suffered a 2-0 defeat to Egypt in their second 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying match played in Alexandria on Sunday.
Mohamed Salah scored the first goal in the 43rd minute after converting penalty spot for the pharoahs of Egypt.
The Black Stars came into the second half strongly with aim of equalising after Agyemang Badu's header went wide in the 53rd minute.
Mubarak Wakaso sent one through to Christian Atsu but El Hadary in pulled saves it to deny Ghana a goal.
With 5 minutes to full time, Abdullah Said doubled the lead for the Egyptians to put the game beyond the reach of the Black Stars.
Egypt now leads the group with 6 points with Uganda second with 4 points as Ghana comes third with 1 point and Congo bottom with no point.
Ghana will face Congo in their next qualifying match in 2017.
